About Hugh Howerton

Hugh Howerton, a veteran trial lawyer, has over 20 years of experience representing injured victims and their families.

Throughout his entire legal career he has dedicated his law practice exclusively to representing injured people and their families. He has never represented big businesses nor insurance companies.

Hugh Howerton received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in Austin and his law degree from South Texas College of Law. He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Examiners. Less than 3% of all Texas attorneys are Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law. Hugh Howerton also is Board Certified in Civil Trial Advocacy by the prestigious National Board of Trial Advocacy.

In 2000 the Martindale-Hubbell national legal directory awarded Hugh Howerton their highest accolade, an AV rating. This was the result of an extensive, confidential review conducted among the legal profession in his community.
